JOURNEY THROUGH THE DARKNESS
Awaking to see a thunderous sky
I hear its dark rage
spit arrows of rain against the glass.
Discordant scatting of the blues,
creative gloom from a melancholy diva
baring her soul in a puffy black cloud,
bags under eyes stretched with tears.
Yet she stuns me with her beauty,
precious tears sparkle in smokey folds,
twinkle like diamonds at the black storm’s edge,
playing on my senses with a syncopated beat,
jazzing up a heat in the cold sharp air,
‘till she billows and steams in new directions,
curling away from borders of despair
revealing a clearing, a heart of light
pumping new hope, beating fresh rhythms,
steering away from darkness and fear
out of the Doldrums towards the light.

What We Stand For
The Out Of Hours Project at Keighley is a user-Involved organization that works to provide a better life for people facing the challenge of mental distress. With regular member involvement we keep on track with what clients are wanting from a service, as it is so easy to sit back and think yes this works and never change anything.
As part of our growth we are to implement several training courses that will run Thursday evening's and begin in August. This work is to be done in partnership with Confianza a new training provider in Keighley based at central hall, check them out at
We will offer the following courses.
Moving & Handling, Health & safety, Fire safety, Basic first aid
Application form link all the courses are completely free and will be followed up with a basic numeracy & literacy course that will commence in October of 2011.
